Rehiring someone who resigned

Hello everyone! Would you rehire someone who resigned in lieu of dismissal?

This is a tricky one, for me it all depends on WHY they resigned in lieu. I think you would need to look at each of these cases individually, there is no yes or no answer.

I agree with CathyW, it all depends on the specific situation. For instance, few months ago we rehired a person who resigned because of client issues, but we still consider this person as a great professional who abounds with knowledge, has all the hard but also all the soft skills needed for the job. In such case, I’d blame the client and fire him :smiley:
